The Investment Case
Investment
- US OIL and Gas’s exploration acreage is in an area of Nevada known as Hot Creek Valley.
- Regressive Missippian lacustrine or lakebed shales are the source of the 50 million barrels of oil produced from Nevada’s RailRoad Valley commercial oil seeps adjacent to Hot Creek Valley. These shales coincide with the edge of the Cretaceous Cordillera, the source of the giant Covenant Field in central Utah (896 million bbl from the Navajo No. 1 alone).
- The central Nevada portion of the Cordillera thrust belt has yet to be exploited to its full potential.
- Modern exploration methods and analysis techniques could confirm previously undiscovered oil fields.
